In March of 2022, Milcon started working at Central Avenue. Located in the heart of downtown Middletown, OH and measuring around ¾ of a mile long, this project consists of water main replacement, storm sewer replacement, and sanitary sewer underground pipelining. On the surface, all pavement, sidewalks, street lights and traffic signals are being replaced. About a half-acre of stone pavers has been installed between the curb and sidewalks to act as an irrigation system, alongside various trees and plants. The final goal of Central Avenue is to revitalize and reform the area in order to encourage businesses to take up residence and continue to stick around. Aside from a few challenges, Central Avenue has turned out to be quite the project for Milcon!
